Jackie attended our Standing Strong Together Community Leadership Training in October 2009. She says "Life is about finding meaning. With meaning comes love, passion and fulfillment. I am blessed to be a teacher. Being a teacher gives me the opportunity to make a difference with our youth and families. Difference Makers International is my conduit for all I have known about for valuing the uniqueness of all students, the importance of dreams, and empowering our youth with a voice for change guided by a good heart. As Confucius said, "To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right."

Pawtucket, Rhode Island: As principal of Nathanael Greene Elementary School, Jackie has established a Difference Makers International Club consisting of fifth and sixth grade students. "Our Blue Ribbon Kids are working together honoring those around us, tackling school and community projects, and diligently working to declare April 1, 2010, as Difference Makers Day in Pawtucket, Rhode Island."

Troy has been a supporter of Difference Makers for more than 5 years!  Troy has attended our Standing Strong Together Community Leadership Training. "I first met Helice in 1999...wow that's a long time ago! I loved her energy and her mission in life. Right away we hit it off. So we created a master mind group with 5 of us and we'd meet at Helice's home every week for one hour. Our focus was to live the Difference Makers' mission by supporting each other in our dreams and build each other up. That was a magic time and helped me in so many ways as I was just starting in my entrepreneurial career as a professional speaker.

I believe we are approaching a tipping point in our society. And, in basic terms, we will either tip towards the positive, supporting, and connecting side or we will slide down a path of negativity, anger and isolation. Difference Makers International (DMI) is all about tipping the scale to the positive. I believe the organization has the ability to "tip" millions and I'm doing my part to help that."

Nationwide: As a professional speaker Troy travels the country speaking mostly to college student leaders and college freshmen. In every program he superbly creates connections and strengthens the communities. One program in specific he has titled "Be the Change" where he highlights Difference Makers' "Who I Am Makes A Difference™" Blue Ribbon power of acknowledgment.
