Through an email was a simple, yet powerful message...

I read about the Blue Ribbon through an email many years ago and it really impacted me, earlier this year I was in a friend's car and she had a Blue Ribbon, I asked her about it and she had not seen the email but had received the Blue Ribbon from her niece and had been very touched by receiving it.  She then gave one to her Aunt in another country whilst visiting who then sent her a photo of her wearing it on Christmas day.

Recently a new friend sent one through the email to me, I was really pleased to receive it and was able to forward it on to my friend with the blue ribbon in her car.  She was again touched by the email and was reminded of receiving hers because she lost her brother to Suicide.

I work as a living works ASIST (Applied suicide intervention skills training) trainer and am on the phones as a telephone counsellor. I am confronted with suicide often. Including the threats by my own 10 year old son.

I am very passionate about empowering people to live, not only to live but to really LIVE and the power of language and how we all can Make a Difference and do Make a Difference in each others' lives. There are many people I would like to pass the Blue Ribbon on to who have Made a Difference in my life and the lives of others. I had wanted to get some of these ribbons a long time ago but never took action on that, I am glad to have received the email in my inbox at a time when I was ready and able to take action. I look forward to receiving them and spreading the word about Difference Makers International.
