I was teaching High School Psychology in a Home School Supplemental School. I had 15 students that had really bonded with me and each other during the year. I came across the "Who I Am Makes A Difference"™ story. I felt like this would be the perfect ending to our school year.

I created certificates for each of my students that gave the meaning of their name and told how they represented the meaning of their name to me and to our class. I called each student up, read their certificate, pinned a Blue Ribbon on them and told them how they had made a difference to me and our class. I then gave them a Blue Ribbon and their certificate and told them to do the same. When we were done we were all crying.

Two years later, many of those students are still a part of my life. We keep up with each other on Facebook and cheer one another on. Many say that class was a life changing event. Little did they know that they were a gift to me during a very difficult time in my life. It was an awesome experience.
